Silkdancer Products

All Silks are
one of a kind,
hand-dyed by
the artist.
As such, each piece will
be as special and unique
as you are.
Each item is produced
from grade-A silk, the
dyes used are known for
their brilliance and
light-fastness, and each
product is steamed for
2-3 hours.
Steaming the silk sets
the dye, increases the
brilliance of the color,
enhances the sheen and
allows the item to be
dry-cleaned if necessary.

Veils are available rectangular and half-circle in various sizes. Standard size for
rectangular veils is 3 yard by 45 inches made with 5mm China silk, and for half circle veils is
2-1/2 yards by 45 inches made with 8mm silk. Larger size such as 3 yard by 55 inches
rectangles or 100 inch (2-3/4 yard) by 50 inch circle veils are made only with 5mm silk, as
the heavier weights will restrict the movement and life of the veil as it dances.
Veils are hemmed with a small, flat hem and then ironed. Rectangular veils are available
unhemmed by request.
Almost all veil designs are available four ways: Horizontal, Vertical, Circle and Box.

and other sizes are available by special request, please ask for quote.
On occasion I will have special sizes and/or designs for immediate delivery listed on the
Specials page. This page changes frequently so please check back often.

Circle Skirts come two ways, two-panel (standard) or three-panel
(professional). Each panel is a full half-circle, is made with 8mm or 10 mm weight China silk,
hemmed carefully with a small flat hem which is then ironed to provide the silk with the best
lift and movement. Yes, this takes a little longer then rolled hems but a rolled hem weighs
down silk and robs it of movement, and is not recommended for dancing silks.
Designs for skirt panels if not solid, are produced in the same manner as half-circle veils.
